Canadian Institute of Islamic Civilization (CIIC) is an initiative of the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) for a cultural gathering of diverse parts of the Quebecer and Canadian population. It introduces a space for inspiring and inclusive meetings that fosters Living Together. The CIIC offers as well to its people the possibility of sharing diverse and rich cultural experiences in a pluralist context. Moreover, it actively participates, with different interveners, to demystify some particular social phenomena, as radicalization, social rejection, racism and islamophobia.
The CIIC is an organization of references and documentations about the Islamic cultural heritage in Quebec and Canada, and offers as well necessary information about the Islamic civilization.
The CIIC aims, through its different activities, towards establishing fruitful relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims, based on mutual understanding. The Institute promotes common values in order to develop a Living-Together in our diverse society.
The CIIC works on establishing an inclusive approach among youth through a clear and constructive approach that fosters mutual acceptance and, strongly, condemns any form of violence and intolerance that threatens the social cohesion of our society.
